“I’m Dennis Mandragonna, chef at Porters Neck Country Club. Cutting board tips, how to stop bacteria from spreading. We recommend using two different boards. One for raw foods, one for cooked foods. Never mix them. We recommend bleach, we recommend using – clean it in the dishwasher. Dishwashers get up to 180 Degrees, that’ll help kill anything. We do not use wood, it’s too porous, you can never get that bacteria out of it. We recommend any board that you buy has NSF written on it. NSF is the Federal Mandate for Food Safety. If it’s NSF safe, it’s safe for use. That’s how you prevent germs and bacteria from getting on your cutting boards.
