How Do You Prevent Dog Food Aggression?
It’s not uncommon that a dog becomes aggressive around his food bowl or even a bone and possibly even his favorite chew toy. There are several tips I can give you to prevent this from happening. Start preventative training before dog hits puberty. Don’t wait until your dog starts to show signs of food aggression before you start his training. Seek out the help of a trained professional or read great dog training books that show you what to train young puppies. The more obedience training your dog receives before puberty, the less likely he will become food aggressive. Don’t think that just “Loving” your dog a lot will prevent him from being aggressive.
