How Do You Preserve Recordings On A Directv Tivo?
The DirecTV Tivo unit offers recording capabilities for your favorite programs without the use of video-cassette tapes or DVDs. You select the programs you want to record from the program guide and record them with the options you choose. At times, you may want to keep recorded programs indefinitely, and Tivo allows you to select such an option. But you don’t have to keep it forever. If you decide you no longer want the recording, you can delete it from the unit’s hard drive at any time. Point the DirecTV remote at the TiVo unit and press “List.” Push the up or down arrow key to highlight the program you want to preserve. Press the blue circular button on the remote and a “K” will appear next to the program on the playlist. The recording will be kept until you delete it. Repeat Steps 2 and 3 for any other recordings you want to keep.
