How Do You Preserve Plastic Fishing Worms?
Plastic fishing worms are a useful addition to your tackle box. These worms vary in appearance from realistic-looking night crawlers to fluorescent colored worms with sparkly glitter. Regardless of what color they are, all plastic worms need to be properly maintained so that they stay pliable and ready to use as bait for years to come. Lubrication is important to keep the worms from drying out, and they also need to be protected from the damaging effects of the sun. Wash the plastic worms with cool clean water as soon as possible after using them as fish bait. Remove any visible dirt from the worms by rubbing them gently under running water. Dry the worms by blotting them on a clean towel. Place the worms in a Ziploc bag and add a few drops of worm oil. Worm oil will lubricate the worms and prevent them from drying out. Close the Ziploc bag and rub the outside of the bag to distribute the oil evenly on the plastic worms. Store the bag in your tackle box or a shaded area to prevent UV d
