Warm up a good, large nonstick skillet over medium to high heat. Add in the piece of tuna and cook it for about 2 minutes on each side. You want to cook the tuna just enough so that both the outer layers on the outside get seared and the center of the tuna remains raw and uncooked. After searing the outsides of the tuna, remove from heat and place on a cutting board. Let it sit for a couple minutes to cool.
