How Do You Prepare Lessons For A Middle School Substitute Teacher?
Middle school children perform best with as few disruptions as possible. You may plan to be absent from your classroom or you may have an emergency that takes you away. In either case it is important for a smooth transition that you prepare lessons any substitute teacher can find and follow with ease. Post the classroom rules in an obvious place. Even though your middle school students should know what the rules are, it helps if the substitute teacher knows the rules as well. Prepare a file with the names of your students and the classes they are in. Put this file in plain sight on your desk. If you have your students seated in assigned seats, put the seating charts in this file as well. Set a copy of your weekly lesson plans in the file you created in Step 1.
