How Do You Prepare Italian Manicotti (3 Cheese)?
This recipe has been handed down from generations in my family. A filling dish with a blend of Italian seasonings and cheese to delight your pallet. Pour a thin layer of sauce on bottom of a baking pan and sprinkle with grated cheese. Fill manicotti crepes with about 1 heaping tbsp. of the cheese mixture. Roll into tubes. Place manicotti crepes in pan, (1 layer deep), then top with more tomato sauce. You can also add a light sprinkle of mozzarella and parmesan cheese to the top of manicotti. Bake for 15-20 minutes in moderate oven at 350-400. If you freeze manicotti, don’t put sauce on until you are ready to bake it. This can be frozen without baking. Yields, approximately 22 crepes. 3 to 4 crepes per person with approximately 4 cups of Italian sauce. Buon Appetito!
