How Do You Prepare For The Unified Auditions Of URTA?
URTA stands for University Resident Theatre Association. If you are looking to go to a graduate school program for acting, and you do not want to schedule a ton of individual auditions, then URTA is the way to go. It is your chance to perform for many programs all in one place at one time. Follow these steps to make sure you are properly prepared. Get to know URTA. They provide more than just these unified auditions. You will want to know more about them before you proceed in signing up for the auditions. (See Resources below for URTA site.) Make a list of important dates. There are 3 different cities that the auditions are held. They are held on 3 different weekends. There is also an application deadline. You will want to have those handy at all times, so that you don’t confuse anything. Choose your city. Choose the one that is most convenient. Print guideline documents. These guidelines are followed pretty strictly. You will want to have them to refer back to often. Have a coach help
