How Do You Prepare For A Marathon (Intermediate)?
Whether you are planning on walking or running a marathon it is very important to prepare well in advance. Here is a guide to prepare a intermediate runner for a marathon. • Calculate how many steps you generally walk on an average day. • Add about 1,000 steps per day on weekdays to your normal walking routine. • Add about 2,000 steps per day on weekends to your normal walking routine. • Schedule at least 2 nights each week that you will go on a walk or jog. Your walk or jog should be at least 4,000 steps, or two miles. • Park in the back of parking lots so that you have to walk to where you are going. Avoid elevators and take the stairs!
