How Do You Prepare For A Deposition?
A deposition is a question and answer session regarding a legal case held by the lawyer of the opposite side of the case. If you were the victim of a crime or accident the defendant’s attorney will want to question you officially and under oath of perjury. Be prepared for your deposition by following a few simple steps prior to your scheduled date. Step 1 How to Prepare: Write down the event as best as you can recall. Make sure that you know details such as time, location and circumstances surrounding the incident. Step 2 How to Dress: Dress appropriately by wearing casual business attire or above. You do not want to wear t-shirts, jeans or tennis shoes to your deposition. Step 3 What to Bring: If the lawyer has asked for specific documents make sure to bring those documents.
