Using Cheese Whiz to prepare broccoli casserole is a great way to add a little zing to the dish. Boil the broccoli until it is tender. While broccoli is boiling, mix cheese whiz, egg, cream of mushroom soup, and mayonnaise in a large bowl. Add broccoli to mixture and stir together. Pour all into a baking dish. Crush Ritz crackers and sprinkle across the top of the casserole. Make sure it is completely covered. Add small pats of butter around 1 inch apart across the top. Bake in preheated oven at 325 degrees for thirty minutes.
