How Do You Prepare An Army Beret?
There are several different companies and units within the Army that issue berets to soldiers. Although the color of the beret may change, the appropriate way to wear the headgear does not. If you are in the Army and currently have a beret, it is extremely important to present yourself correctly in uniform, and this includes having the beret fitted properly to your head. Step 1 Place the beret on your head so the headband is straight across your head and an inch above your eyebrows. You should have have the beret headband tilted to one side or the other. The insignia flash is to be over your left eye. Step 2 Drape the excess material down the right side of your face, covering up no more than half of your ear. Step 3 Form a dip in the beret right behind the insignia patch. This should happen automatically if the beret is placed onto your head correctly.
