How Do You Prepare A Flaming Dr?
Want to impress the guests at your next social gathering? Reach deep into your bartender bag of tricks to make a “Flaming Dr. Pepper from Hell”! Not only is this drink inexpensive, but it tastes good and has a sweet theatrical flair. Pour one twelve ounce beer into the large beverage glass. Standard American light beer works best for this drink. Fill the shot glass four-fifths of the way with Amaretto Liqueur. Amaretto tastes like almonds and will give the drink it’s Dr. Pepper-like flavor. Float a tiny amount of Bacardi 151 (or some other flammable alcohol) on top of the Amaretto in the shot glass. If you’re not experienced in floating alcohol, try pouring the 151 over the back of a spoon into the shot glass. This will help it float on top of the Amaretto. Be careful not to overfill the shot glass because you’ll need to be able to handle it without spilling. BEFORE you light anything, make sure you wipe up any spilled alcohol.
