How Do You Plot Excel Data On A World Map Using Mappoint 2010 North America?
You have data in Microsoft Excel that compares results from different countries and you want to display it on a world map. This article shows you how to do that. It enables you to show the data in a way that makes it easy to understand. It also makes a great impact in a presentation. Organize the data in Excel so that it is in two adjacent columns, with a header for each column. One column must be labeled Country and contain data in the following format for each country: United States (US). Start MapPoint. I used MapPoint 2010 North America with Excel 2007. Select all the rows that you want to use, by dragging the cursor down the two columns. Press the Ctrl and C keys at the same time on the keyboard. This copies the data from Excel to the Windows clipboard. Select the window in which MapPoint is open and then press the Ctrl and V keys on the keyboard, at the same time. This will paste the data from the Windows clipboard onto the map.
