How Do You Play The Tide Pool Challenge?
The Tide Pool Challenge tests your knowledge of plants and animals from different intertidal zones around the world. The goal of the challenge is to guess the name of the plant, the name of the animal, and what intertidal zone they are from. Grab a partner and find pictures of 20 plants and animals located in various tide pools. Have someone write the name of the plant or animal on the back of the pictures, and also write the intertidal zone of the pool the plant or animal can be found in. Place each of the pictures face up on a table in a big square. The grid should be five across and four down. Choose a picture and ask your partner to guess the name of the plant or animal on it. If the answer is correct, give your partner a point. He receives a bonus point if he can guess the intertidal zone. Continue the game, alternating turns, until all the picture have been used. Calculate the winner by seeing who had the most points after are the picture were used.
