How Do You Play The Recorder Musical Instrument?
The recorder is a very simple instrument to learn. It’s rewarding to pick up an instrument and begin playing a song within a few moments! Even with little musical knowledge you can be playing a little song to brighten your day! The first thing to learn is how to hold your recorder. Place the tip of the recorder gently between your lips. Make sure the tip is just inside your teeth. Place the thumb of your right hand behind the first hole. Place your index finger of your right hand on the first hole. Now place the next two fingers on your right hand on the next two holes. Your pinkie (smallest finger) will not cover a hole. With the fingers of your left hand you will cover the remaining three holes. The pinkie of your left hand will be used to cover the last two hole located on the very bottom of the instrument. Your left thumb will be placed in the back of the instrument to help hold it steady. With all of the holes covered and using your left pinkie to cover the second to last hole on
