• Before the gathering, ask all of your guests to bring an inexpensive gift, one for each family member wishing to play. If you want to, you can ask them to label the package ‘adult’ or ‘child’ describing which age group it is appropriate for. • At the party count the number of people wanting to play and number pieces of paper up to that number. Have everyone pick a piece of numbered paper. This is the order that people will pick presents. • Number 1 picks his/her present and unwraps it. He keeps his present for now. • Number 2 picks. After he unwraps it he may trade with any other person in the room (at this point, there is only 1 person to trade with) or may keep it. • Go through every person in the room, in the order of their #s. At their turn, each person may trade presents with anyone in the room once but each present may only be passed 3 times (once when the present is picked and then twice if it is traded twice).
