We have all played Rock, Paper, Scissors – But these instructions will introduce you to a much more challenging and exciting version of this game. If you find yourself in a situation where you require a random selection method and you have no coin to toss, no straws to draw, and no dice to throw, this game is a sure solution to your problem. In unison each player counts to three out loud while raising one hand in a fist and swinging it down on the count. On the final count of “three” each player changes their fist into one of five hand formations and “throws” their selection by extending it towards the other player. The name of the game “rock, paper, scissors, lizard, spock” describes the five hand formations that can be thrown. The game is won if one player throws a hand formation that beats their opponent. If both players throw the same formation, the game is a tie and the count is begun again The hand formations are scored as follows: • Paper covers rock. • Rock crushes scissors. •
