How do you play music notes on guitar?
Using your weaker hand (for most guitarists this will be the left), place a finger within one of the rectangular boxes on the long thin neck of the guitar, named frets, and push down on a particular string. Then, using your other hand, pluck (either with a plectrum or simply your hand) the particular string that your other finger is rested on. A note will resound, which is specific to that particular fretted position on the guitar’s neck (fretboard). Eventually, by combining various positions on the fretboard with your fingers, you can create complex chord patterns. It is best to think of your weaker hand as structuring the music, and your stronger as forming its rhythm.
