How Do You Play ISO Image Files?

0

An ISO image is a disc image–an exact copy of a DVD’s audio and video content. The quality of ISO files is usually the same as the DVD from which it came, but not all media players support the format. To play an ISO image file you must either download a special player or burn the ISO file to a blank DVD. Download and install the VLC Media Player (see link in Resource section). Once installation is complete launch the program. In the command bar open the “Media” menu and select “Open file.” Click the button at the far right of the file select screen and choose “All files.” Go to the directory where the ISO is located and double-click on it to start playback of the file in the VLC media player. Insert a blank recordable DVD into your DVD burner drive. Download and install ImgBurn (see link in the Resource section below). This is a free burning program that supports ISO files. Once installation is complete run the program. Click on “Write image to disc” then click on “File” in the comman
