How Do You Play Faster Double Bass?

0

Fast double bass drumming doesn’t have to be a secret. In fact, with the right technique and some practice, you can get your double bass speed to increase dramatically within a few weeks There are many different ways to play double bass. Some play heel down, some play heel up, and some play with the heel-to toe method. I personally prefer the heel up method, but none of these methods are wrong. However there are some secrets to learn no matter how you play. Your sitting position is extremely important and can/will change your progress.Your back needs to be straight and your knees should be at a 90 degree angle. Sitting too high or too low can really hinder your playing. Building up strength in your left foot (or right foot for lefties) is crucial. Practice rudiments with your feet and pick out a block of time during your practice when you only play with your opposite foot. Also, make sure you are balanced – try not to rely on your feet on the ground to stay balanced.
