How do you play dvd-r(ps2 games, not movies) with a Gameshark, not Action Replay?
GameShark is used in the same way as Action Replay. Please note DVD-R is not supported with the SBox. To Play DVD-R, please use an alternative chip such as the Neo2.5 or No-solder Mod. I installed an USB MOD on an US V3 system and it won’t direct boot PSX backups. It just goes to the red screen. I am turning it on but it won’t work for PSX. Be sure your using the Correct swap method for PSX Backups for you device (Xtreme FM, or AR/GS). You should also make sure the USB MOD is working powering up console while holding reset for 5 seconds (CD tray should eject and close automatically). Make sure your PSx Backup works in another modified PS2 or PSX, that way you are making sure it works at all, also use a good quality CDR brand burned at slower speeds. If all that fails, check connection point 2 is correct and that its installed correctly.
