How Do You Play Bean Bag Toss?
It’s a rainy day and you’re stuck inside with some rambunctious kids, and you need to get their energy out somehow. The kids will have as much fun making the bean bags as they will playing bean bag toss. And you’ll be able to finally use up those old, mismatched socks. Pour the beans into small ziplock bags. Seal the bags to keep the beans dry in case the bean bag comes into contact with water. Slip a bag of beans into a sock. Tie the open end of the sock into a tight knot, snug with the bag. Cut off the excess, or fold the excess over the knot. Repeat Steps 1 through 3 until you have as many bean bags as you need. Set out containers of different sizes around the room. Use pots, pans, jars, laundry basket, boxes, a mini basketball hoop, plates or other round containers. Have your child practice throwing from farther and farther away.
