Playing a game of darts is very fun. But what are the rules exactly? Here is a few tips on playing 301. One of my favorite pastimes, other than the American pastime of baseball, is playing a game of darts. There are many options when playing darts, but one of my favorites is 301. To start, all players start with 301 points. The idea in 301 is to get your point total down to 0. To start, all players throw at the board, and the first one to hit a double (the small ring around the outer edge of the board), has now doubled-in. For example, if you hit a double 20, you subtract 40 points from your score. You now have 261 points left. You cannot start deducting points until you have thrown a double. Once you have doubled in, all darts after this subtract from your point value. To win the game, you must also double out.
