How Do You Plant Morning Glory Vines?
The deep green of their heart-shaped leaves and the bold colors of their flowers make morning glories a popular climbing vine with many landscapers. Their fast growth rate of up to 20 feet per season makes this a hardy breed of perennial. Planting morning glories around your lawn in sunny areas next to a fence or trellis will help you transform that barrier into a bloom of color that will come back year after year. Dig a trench 3 inches deep along the length of the fence with a shovel, leaving a 2-inch gap between the trench and the fence. Fill the trench with potting soil, letting it heap up to 2 inches above the top of the trench. Smooth the soil flat with your hand to spread out the extra soil so that those nutrients will seep into the existing dirt nearby. Rip a strip of sandpaper from the full piece, and place it inside of the film canister so that it wraps around the inside perimeter with the rough side pointing in. Place 10 to 15 seeds in the canister, replace the lid, and shake
