How Do You Plant Lemon & Lime Trees?
Lemon and lime trees are citrus fruit trees that can be grown indoors or outdoors depending on the climate and the zone you live. Lemon and lime trees prefer temperatures of 50 degrees or higher. If you live in northern zones, it is best to plant trees in a container so they can be moved indoors during the winter. Even though lemons and limes are similiar in taste, how to plant and take care of them differs. Chose a sunny location to plant your lemon tree. Lemon trees need full sun, so the south side of your yard would be best. Transfer the lemon seedling into a five-gallon container. Place acidic soil in the container. Lemon trees can tolerate most soils but the soil must be well-drained and moist for the tree to flourish. Place the seedling in a hole shallower than the length of the root ball.
