Lucky bamboo is an attractive plant that is easy to care for. It will grow in a pot with nothing but water and requires only minimal light. It should have deep green leaves and be at least 30 inches tall. Make a cut with a sharp knife through the plant. Make the cut at least four leaves down from the top of the plant between nodes Put the plant clipping in a vase filled with rocks and glass beads. Add enough distilled water to cover the bottom of the bamboo. Keep the lucky bamboo out of direct sunlight. It will take about two months to root fully. Spray the cut plant with water every day.
