How Do You Plant Cabomba Plants?
Cabomba aquatica is a popular aquatic plant used in aquariums to give a burst of bright green color, and to provide oxygen and habitat for fish and other aquatic life. Cabomba is very fast growing; in optimal conditions it grows up to an inch every day. It’s easy to plant whether you have a potted plant from a shop or are dividing an existing plant.. Place potted Cabomba onto the floor of the tank in the desired location and surround and cover the pot between the plant strands with gravel to secure it in place. Place free rooted plants into place on the aquarium floor with long tweezers, adjusting for the desired placement and appearance. Use the tips of the tweezers to push gravel around the roots to secure the plant in its fixed location. Divide larger clumps of Cabomba by pulling apart with the tweezers and fingers at the base of the root ball into as many parts as you desire to transplant. Bury these new plants by the same process as in Step 2.
