The White Mountains of New Hampshire are a must see for anyone traveling in New England. The winter offers great skiing and the fall gifts travelers with beautiful foliage. However, summer is my favorite season to visit the White Mountains. It is a great time to hike the multitude of mountain trails, swim in crystal clear lakes, and visit the area’s theme parks. Here are some pointers to planning the perfect summer vacation. Find a place to stay. The White Mountains has plenty of more than adequate hotels and motels. However, if saving money is important to you, consider renting a condo at one of several ski resorts. If you factor in nightly costs and the money you’ll save by cooking meals in the condo’s kitchenette, I think you’ll agree it is the best way to go. Not only is it more cost efficient, you’ll have all the comforts of home and you don’t have to share one small room with two or more children.
