How Do You Pick A Kensington Lock?
The Kensington Lock was designed to allow the user to securely lock a laptop computer to a stationary object so the laptop could not be removed undamaged. While the cable can be cut with a pair of bolt cutters, many will be surprised to learn that the disc-lock version with a cylindrical key can be easily opened without the key. Cut or tear a rectangular section from the cardboard tube about 3 to 4 inches along the length of the tube (from the edge of the tube toward the middle), and about 2 or more inches along the edge of the tube. The goal is to wrap the cardboard around the pen one time, so cutting a longer length now and trimming later is best. Wrap the cardboard around the pen so that the cardboard wraps around once. Trim off any excess cardboard. Tape the cardboard in place so that it stays rolled around the pen, but do not tape the cardboard to the pen. The tape should only wrap around the middle or one end of the cardboard so that the other end is left without any tape around
