How Do You Perform With Method Acting?
With method acting, actors have the opportunity to give life-like performances while showing deep emotion and true grit. Most professional actors swear by it, and if you really want to get an edge over the competition, method acting may be the key. While there are some that simply act, those that use method acting get into the mind of their characters and live life through them, giving a more believable and memorable performance. Be prepared to stretch yourself emotionally and feel your moment on stage. If you aren’t comfortable wearing your heart on your sleeve, then don’t try method acting. Examine the scene, the situation and the character you are playing. If your character is supposed to be sad, angry, hurt, depressed or anywhere in between you need to know. Speak with your director if you aren’t sure of how the character should be reacting.
