How Do You Perform T Tests Using SPSS?
Branches of science use statistics to make conclusions and evaluate findings. Statistics have many tests that evaluate information to tell if it is relevant. An outlier may be deleted from a data set if it fails one or more of these tests. The T-Test determines whether the means of two different sets of data is statistically significant. Open SPSS and enter your data into the spreadsheet. The spreadsheet is set up with two pages in the workbook. The Data View on the first page contains the data. The Variable View on the second page contains variable information. The Variable View lists the variable names, the type of data and the format in which the data points are entered. Analyze the data based on the T-Test. Select “Analyze>Compare Means” and select what kind of T-Test you want to produce. A new window will appear.
