You can use Autostar to automatically align your viewing objects. It’s easy, saves time and leaves you free to do what you enjoy–stargazing! Here’s how it works. Go to the “Align Option” screen. It should say “Setup: Align.” Press “Enter.” You can now select the alignment. It should ready “Align: Easy.” Press “Enter.” Now you should set your home position using the Alt/Az Home Alignment position. (See the information on automatic alignment.) From this point, Autostar will choose two stars to use for alignment. You will need to bring them into the eyepiece’s field of view. Choose a prominent star for the first alignment star. Use the arrow key and move the telescope to focus the star and center it in the eyepiece. Press “Enter.” Repeat for the second star.
