How Do You People Become So Disgcusting And Evil To Sexual Abuse Their Kids?
The mind is a very delicate & complex thing. It can easily be warped by a number of things. Becoming a parent is one of these things. Many women go through post-natal depression, for example – there are loads of mental illness caused by having a child. Without proper treatment, the illness could develop and become normal for the patient & won’t be noticed until someone catches onto some strange “abnormal” behaviour. Yes, sexually abusing your own child is disgusting – though not in the mind of the person that’s doing it. We have normal, healthy minds, so we understand what is abnormal. For those with abnormal ways of thinking – it could be completely normal. My psychology lecturer used Jeffrey Dahmer as an example when talking about abnormal psychology. I think it is mainly as a result of their upbringing. Most sexual abusers have suffered some sort of abuse themselves. While this does not excuse their behaviour, it does in some way explain it. In the same way that we all develop sexuality, so too do paedophiles. However theirs is marred by some developmental problem (such as sexual abuse or degradation). In the case of sexual abuse, however horrific it is to conceptualise, there is often a degree of pleasure accompanying the confusion/pain PLEASE NOTE- I AM JUST POINTING OUT A FACT THAT MANY SURVIVORS OF ABUSE FIND SO VERY DIFFICULT TO DEAL WITH. This can lead to them becoming ‘stuck, in that time/at that age and unable to develop healthy adult relations. It can also lead to them associating sexual desire with children. Still no excuse but can go some way to see how the cycle of abuse perpetuates itself NB- MOST survivors of sexual abuse do not go on to become abusers themselves.
What we are witnessing is the final, terrifying, stages of our egoism’s development. Our egoism does not take others into consideration and when it grows to to its most extreme levels that includes our own kin. Fred and Rose West, JoseFritzzl, The killers of Baby P are all a prime example of this. Not only does egoism cause people to do such things but they also get a sick kick out of doing it. Our egoism actually enjoy’s seeing other people suffering. In order for us to avoid these things we must realise that our egoism is the root cause of all of the terrible things we see happening on the globe. Terrorism, wars, child abuse, crime, sexual deviants, torture and God knows what else are alll a direct result of our inherrent inborn characteristics. Only when we realise that our nature is causing all of theses horrendous actions will we want to rid ourselves of it. Have a look at the following links.
