How Do You Peel An Orange All In One Piece?

Ever want to peel an orange all in one piece? It looks neat, and you are left with a long spiral of orange rind kind of like a slinky. You can do this either by hand or with a knife, which is much simpler. The easiest way to peel your orange in one piece is to take a knife and stick it in the stem end of the fruit – you know, the part on the top where it has that brown nubbly spot from being attached to the branch. Insert the knife at a roughly 45 degree angle and turn it so you have cut a semi-circle in the rind. From here, draw the knife around and around the orange in a spiral, cutting through the rind. Make sure you cut ALL the way through. Once you’ve sliced the whole thing, stick your thumb in the top near the stem nubbin and carefully peel the skin off in one piece. If you’d rather not use a knife, or don’t have one with you, you can use your fingernail instead.
