How Do You Patch Laminate Wood Floor And Trim?
There is an easy way to repair small scratches and holes on laminate wood floors. You just need the right products: a good patch and a good wood marker or crayon. In the picture above, there were two small holes in the molding made from nails. Can you see where they were? You will need a laminate floor repair kit with a patch filler and wood marker. Shown is an example. You can also buy similar products separately. Add a patch or filler in the scratch or hole. Try not to put too much patch around the hole. The goal is to limit the amount of work removing the excess but leaving enough to just cover the cavity. Here is a hole in a laminate wood trim made by a nail. Wait a few hours for the patch or filler to dry. When dry, use a damp (not too wet) cloth to rub off the excess patch. If the patch already matches the wood, your work is done.
