How Do You Paint The Brick Trim On A Fireplace?
Painting the brick trim on a fireplace can be an easy and economical way to add color to a plain room, add light to a dark room or simply update the look of any room that has a fireplace. In just a few easy steps your brick fireplace trim can go from drab to fab! Remove any existing paint off the brick trim. Any flat blade with a handle will do, the flatter the better. Be sure to get ALL the paint off, checking corners and every little nook and crevice. Prepare the brick for painting by giving it a thorough sanding with sandpaper. Vacuum away all sanding debris to clear the brick for priming and painting. Clean the brick with soapy water. Allow to dry completely before priming.
