How do you paint over wallpaper what is the proper procedure?
Well, it can easily be done but you have to prepare the surface properly. If you just use latex (water-based) paint, you’ll find the wallpaper lifiting right off the wall. So, here goes: 1. Make sure that your wallpaper isn’t peeling anywhere. If it is, use a Q-tip and white glue and stick it down. Wait till it dries. 2. Paint away to your heart’s content. And no, you don’t have to use oil paint. You can’t paint oil paint over latex primer, but you can paint latex (water-based) paint over oil PRIMER.
