Painting beautiful skin tones is certainly something that takes practice. One of the trickiest parts about learning how to paint skin tones is choosing how much of each color to mix to get the fleshy shade. The correct color combination mixed with proper application of the paint will yield a wonderful finished product. It’s also important to choose the best supplies for you; if you like to blend fast and wish for the paint to dry faster, choose acrylic. If you like to take your time and allow the paint to dry slowly, oil-based paints are best. Choose a color to act as the base color for your skin tone. For lighter skin, yellows and reds provide a wonderful base when mixed together. Darker skin looks great when made with umber or burnt sienna. Mix the base colors until you reach the preferred shade.
