How Do You Paint A Miniature Figures Face Easily?

• Start with a plastic or metal figurine primed in black. • First, paint the face area in a flesh-tone color (for Citadel colors, a good starting base is Tallarn Flesh). • After letting the base coat dry, wash the face in a dark color (a black or dark brown works well). This will make the face look as if it’s had an extreme tan — but don’t despair, it’s not ruined! • Next, highlight the raised areas of the face (nose, brows, cheeks) with the same flesh tone or a lighter color depending on the effect you want to achieve. If done right, the paint will leave the eyes, inside of the mouth, and nasal folds darkened from the wash. Paint whatever details on the face you want and feel comfortable doing — eyes are not necessary for most figures as the darkened wash area is perfectly good at conveying the illusion.
