• Disassemble your bike so it is just the frame by itself. Remove all bearings and parts. • If your frame already is painted (Most likely it is) you need to strip the paint from it. Do this by using paint stripper or sanding it down with sand paper. • Once the frame is down to the bare metal, make sure there is no rust on the frame. Rust will prevent the paint from sticking. • Hang the frame by the head tube with a strong wire or rope. (This will help with the painting process.) • Now with your bare metal frame you need to add a coat of primer. (The lighter the primer the brighter the color will be.) If you hung the frame just lightly add the primer to both sides. If the frame is lying down, you will need to do one side at a time. • After the primer dries look to see if you see any metal showing through. If so you need to add another coat.
