How Do You Overclock An AMD XP 2500+ Processor Chip?
They say that the AMD XP 2500+ is a great chip to overclock. When you overclock, you push the processor to work harder, making your system run faster. My system has been stable overclocking the AMD XP 2500+ without purchasing any new cooling devices. First, enter the BIOS settings. These vary from computer to computer, but usually you can get there while the computer is booting up. Look for something along the bottom that says “DEL for setup” or something similar. On my computer, hitting DEL while booting gets me to the BIOS settings. Look for the setting FSB or Front Side Bus. You might need to look under advanced settings or for something like chipset. Increase the FSB to 200. If you want to work your way up gradually, you can also try setting the FSB to 166 to make sure it works, then set the FSB to 200 after you verify that your system is stable. That should do it. After I changed the FSB to 200, my bootup screen said I was now using an AMD XP 3200+.
