How Do You Overclock An AMD Athlon XP 2600+?
hi dumal overclocking any processor is a delicate process and can be done from either the bios(power managment) or from the windows desktop using a program such as “n-tune”(http://www.nvidia.com/object/nt… however amd athlon xp cpu,s are not the best processors to overclock,and the small percentage you can isnt worth doing,for example i overclocked a amd athlon xp 2200+ using n-tune and it was safely overclocked to 1.9ghz(1.8ghz stock) ,any higher was too unstable my advice is use the n-tune overclocking program and run the “coarse” overclock,this will take around 2 to 3 hours and produce the best results bios overclocking isnt advisable as the multiplyer increases would be too large and may damage the cpu however when using the bios to overclock first you need to change the power management to “user define” and then slowly increase the multiplyer,after every increase reboot your system and check voltages and tempertures if the p.c fails to boot at any time reset the bios by removing t
