How Do You Overclock A Video Card?
Update your video card’s drivers. Go to ATI or NVIDIA depending on the video card you have. If you don’t know what video card you have, run this program if you’re using Windows: start -> run -> dxdiag. Go to display, and it tells you if it is an ATI or NVIDIA card. If you have an ATI card, use steps 2-12. If it’s an NVIDIA, see below • Next, download an ATI tool (v0.25 beta 12 or 13). • Install the ATI tool. • Start up the ATI tool. Close any running programs. • Follow any warnings given by the ATI tool. • If you have the time, execute “Find Maximum Core Speed.” • Wait 10 minutes to an hour or until it is done. • Lower the rate by 5-10 mhz to be safe. If the rate given is over 110% of the original speed, reduce it to 110%. • Repeat this with the memory rate. • Hit “Scan” for artifacts. • Wait until the “no errors” timer reaches 10 minutes to an hour.
