Storing summer clothing can be a tiresome job. But when done the right way, your clothes can be fresh and in great condition when summer rolls around again next year. Wash and dry all summer clothing before storing. When done drying, press any items that need pressing and then fold all items. When folding, make the item as small as possible. This will make it easier to fit more items in one container. Sort items into piles according to each person and type of clothing. Put all like items together, such as shorts in one pile and shirts in another. Use cedar bags or cedar balls and place inside large plastic containers to keep bugs and moths from creating holes in your clothing. If you are using bags, line the bottom of the container. If you use cedar balls, place them around your clothes after you are finished placing your clothes in the container. Place folded items inside containers.
