How Do You Open & Clean PSP Buttons?

0

Many common problems with the buttons on Sony’s Playstation Portable, such as sticking or needing to press the buttons harder and harder, can be fixed by cleaning the heads underneath the buttons. Opening a PSP is rather straightforward. Once done, you can clean the interior right away. Remove any games or memory sticks you have in your PSP. Then open the battery cavity and remove it as well. Unscrew the five screws that hold the faceplate to the console. Four are located on the back side, but one is underneath the screen on the bottom edge. Be sure to place these screws in a safe place as they are very small. Remove the button covers from the D-pad and the four shape buttons. You can also remove the two trigger buttons on top if you have problems with them also. Using a small clean cloth, remove any dust or residue from the top of each button head. Also clean around each button, especially between the screen and the square button as this is a common source of problems. Twist the cloth
