How Do You Open An ISO File In Windows?
An ISO file is a data image file that contains a multitude of other uncompressed files within it, usually for storage on a CD or DVD. It is similar in theory to a ZIP or RAR file. ISO files can be opened with WinRAR, which comes as a free trial. Other options include opening it on disk mounting software such as MagicDisk, which is freeware. Disk mounting software makes the computer think it is contained on a disk already. Open MagicDisk. It often appears on the taskbar, so right click the icon. Choose “Virtual CD/DVD-ROM.” That will open the virtual drive the software created. Choose “Mount.” This will open an explore window. Locate the ISO file you’d like to open and choose “Open.” At this point, it will open the ISO file for you. Locate the ISO file you’d like to open. Right click the file and choose “Open With.” Select WinRAR from the list. This will open the ISO file as if it were a ZIP or RAR file.
