How Do You Open A Rich Text Format Word Document?
Microsoft Word is a word processing application. When a new file is opened in Word and text is typed into the file, the file is then typically saved. Word provides a number of different types of formats for saving a document. Many people choose to save their files with a “doc” extension. This preserves all of the Word formatting that applies to the document. There may be times when a person saves a document with an “rtf” extension, which makes the document a rich text format document. Word can easily open a rich text format document as long as the user knows where the document is stored. Use your mouse button to position your cursor over the Start button in the lower left corner of your screen. With the cursor over the “Start” button, click the right mouse button. Move the cursor over Explore in the pop-up menu. With the cursor over “Explore,” click the left mouse button. This opens Windows Explorer. Locate the rich text format document that you want to open by clicking on the folders
