How Do You Open A Large Jar Lid?
• With the jar standing upright, carefully insert the tip of a screwdriver a little bit under the edge of the lid holding the screwdriver handle close to the side of the jar. • Slightly twist or gently pry the lid away from the jar a tiny bit until you hear the hiss of the vacuum seal releasing the lid. Alternately, tap the edge of the lid with the side of a metal implement to break the seal, hot water to enlarge and loosen the lid, or a rubber gripping aid or jar-lid wrench to more forcefully twist off the lid.
