How Do You Open A Kenmore Dryer Cabinet?
When it is necessary to replace parts in a dryer you need to be able to access them. When you know how to open a Kenmore dryer cabinet completely you can access the entire working area of the dryer. The Kenmore dryer cabinet can be completely removed with just a couple of simple tools. The owners manual will have complete disassembly instructions for your particular model. Unplug the Kenmore dryer from the wall outlet. Pull the dryer away from the wall enough so that you have room to work behind it. Use a screwdriver to loosen the clamp that secures the exhaust duct work to the dryer exhaust. Pull the dryer duct work off of the exhaust. Use a screwdriver to remove the retaining screws at the front of the control console. Flip the console back into its service position. Use a screwdriver to remove the three retaining screws on the top rear of the dryer. These screws are directly under the area where the control panel sits.
